67 Camaro right rear/front blinker not working

Hey guys,

On a 67 camaro, the passenger side front/rear blinker is not working. The drivers side front is great, the drivers side rear is not real bright. Flasher is fine, new bulbs, hazards only work on drivers side also....still faint in rear drivers side. Any ideas?

First, easy stuff. I'd check that the grounds are good, the bulbs are in the sockets nicely, and that the sockets themselves are fully seated and making good grounds.

But shooting from the hip, I'd say the trouble is in the turn signal switch. The power to both left and right comes from the same power wire into the turn switch. From there, it is rounted properly and includes breaking the stop light signal to that side...

Though, grounds cause LOTS of crazy problems all by themselves!

Where do the grounds in the rear tail lights originate?

The bezel is the ground, the part holding the socket.

You might take a length of wire, a small hose clamp, and wrap the stripped wire around the socket, clamped it in place on the socket, then run the wire over to the ground screw on the filler tube structure under the latch.

Check the bulb connections. Clean them with a file and or wire brush, 40 years of corrosion can cause many problems. Always check the most simple problem first, thats usually what it is, good luck
