Tail wiring Can u tell what this is for

Hello All
I have been removing parts from my 68 Camaro and in the trunk is a wire or cable looking thing that goes from one of the Brake or tail bulbs to the other. The end of it was just laying in the trunk. it goes up in the filler panel that is in between the rear glass and truck lid.

Do you have the other one, (other side), those are the rare fiber optic light monitors!

Yes per the AIM, option U46, also had the plate monitor, and the front lights, (I had to look it up), worked on Caddy's many years, same thing.

Re: Tail wiring Can u tell what this is for

Thanks U would have never had figured that out. I pulled the ends out of the filler panel and found the ends. I got a flash lite and shined it on one of the bulbs and it showed up on one of the ends.

Is that what this hole id for?

Here is where I pulled the other ends out

So do you think this end one is for the lite on the bumper at the Lic plate?

Again thanks for the help. Where did you look this up at?

Yes, the hole in the back panel is for the display of light monitor.
The last picture of the sole wire, I see blue on it as the blue could be from overspray, but further up, I see brown? Could be trunk compartment light? I think it's too long for licanse plate light, but one never knows.

AIM is Assembly Instruction Manual, buy from repo parts houses, or some of our site sponsors. Its page by page of all the info. you might need with drawings and part numbers too. If you have an old Camaro, you need it.

Hey Ron - you can place a wanted ad in both the sites classified forum and classified area... I don't know of any reproduction of the coupe being made.
