Car wont fire Help

Ok so my 69 camaro wont start I had drove it around because i was setting the timing parked it in my garage mind you everything was fine came back out to take it for a drive and nothing.. All it does is crank but doesnt want to turn over its getting gas just no spark. They people before me has installed a msd 6a with the msd retard box and a hei msd distrubitor. Im not running nitrous or anything of that nature so I dont know how to disconnect all this stuff and trouble shot the problem if it was simple coil distrubitor Id be ok but throw these msd ignition boxs in the mix and im lost. Any help would be much appreciated

Re: Car wont fire Help

Go to MSD website. They have a procedure to test your MSD 6 box. It is a real simple test.

Re: Car wont fire Help

I'm a little confused as you said MSD and also HEI. First thing I'd check is battery voltage, second is the 12v lead into the HEI distributor. With ignition in the On or Run position you should have a full 12 volts.

Re: Car wont fire Help

I pulled the hei coil off and there was a spring attached to the middle of the coil. Well that wasn't attached and just sitting the cap. So if you all agree I'm thinking I need a new coil.
