Front side marker lights

Hello,
Putting my side markers back on. Why is the marker light lens so much bigger than the opening in the sheet metal. At least that is the way mine is. Seems odd. Aso, I'm not certain that the whole cut into the front fender is correct. The chrome piece fits in the hole okay, but the lens seems like a wierd fit.

Help and thanks.

'69 lens look like this :http://shop.stevescamaroparts.com/Ca...-69-170660.htm
Mount from the inside, chrome bezels on the outside: http://shop.stevescamaroparts.com/Ca...969-170250.htm And yes the sheet metal openings are small.

Re: Front side marker lights

I agree.... strange fitment. I wish the lens protruded further through the hole to meet the bezel better.
If I didn't care about safety and boneheads seeing me, I'd shave them.
