Fuse box Ignition terminal vs. resistive wire

Can the male fuse box terminal marked "ignition" be used instead of the old resistive wire. Box needs 12v when ignition is turned on. Being used to power a MSD Digital 6 box.

Yes, that terminal should only have power when the key is in the on position.

X2. Actually has power in "Run" and "Start" which is what you need. Be sure and disconnect the old yellow wire coming from the aux contacts on the starter.
