67 RS fuel gauge

Console RS fuel gauge has worked for 10 years, now pegs on full.
Checked all grounds under dash and from sending unit to frame.
Gauge will read correctly using test light probing feed wire connection in trunk light going to ground?
Any ideas?

Re: 67 RS fuel gauge

You have lost your ground, It's reading correctly because it going to ground through your test probe.

I pulled sending unit, grounding to pick up tube I get the 0-90 ohms it calls for, but will not ground through the external tab that ground wire attaches to.
Seems kind of strange
