Leaned on the horn when...

... some fool was drifting into my lane while out for a cruise today and it stopped working. I am guessing the horn relay went but before I go and order another I wanted to get an opinion if that's the likely culprit.

Any thoughts? I leave to tomorrow afternoon for a trip overseas for a week and would love to get a quick answer so I can order it and have it here when I get back... Much appreciated!

Use the brakes, they will avoid more accidents than the horn??

I think most of the time it's just dirty contacts at the button.

Have someone press the horn button while checking for power at the horn.

You should be able to hear the relay click also... with the engine off of course.

Re: Leaned on the horn when...

Thanks guys, all good points.... Will check in the morning before I go and order the relay if it's not clicking or getting voltage. Thanks again!
