Losing high beams on the dimmer is typical of a bad dimmer switch. Try a new dimmer switch first. Interior lights stay on when they pick up a ground from somewhere they are not supposed to, like when one of your underdash light sockets pops out of its holder.

Re: 67 rs hideaway door troubles (i've tried everything)

I am fairly sure that I was using a newer dimmer switch...I'll try it in my brother's '68 and see what it does to his high beams. If it does the same thing to his, then I'll know for sure its the switch and I'll for sure replace it.

Thanks for the info!

Think that a bad dimmer switch would fail the rs doors from opening though?? ...even when I have only the normal beams turned on?
