67 RS/SS horn relay wiring

Am trying to properly wire the horn relay (mounted just below the voltage regulator)on my 67 RS/SS. There are 3 plug in posts in the bottom of the relay and 2 side posts that hold the wiring with set screws. There are two plug in wires in the left front wiring harness that appear to go to the relay one is a dark green wire with a black stripe the other is a small black wire. The other wires are: a #16 blk. wire that is coupled to a red wire into the harness, a #10 red wire with u spade connection, 2, #10 black wires with U spade connectors and a single small black wire with a replaceable fuse holder attached (maybe a under hood light?).
Are these the proper wires for the horn relay? does it make a difference as to where these wires are connected? My 67 GM chassis service manual shows the dark green and small black wire (plug in's) and one red and one black wire? The relay screw on connections are separate as are the plug in terminals, thus the question on hookup?

Re: 67 RS/SS horn relay wiring

One of the black #10 AWG be for power door locks?
If two #10 are present, could they have been for an aftermarket ammeter?

Seeing your other post on RS headlaights, I would imagine the other black wire would be for RS door power.

Re: 67 RS/SS horn relay wiring

The archives have again helped answer some of my questions especially how the horn relay functions and about the additional wires that are present on some applications and mine has several options. Thanks for the replies which are always well intended.. hipirn

Re: 67 RS/SS horn relay wiring

I was able to get the horn wiring worked out, of course had to replace both horns to get them working properly. That helped me eliminate some of the stray wires around the headlight door issue.. Thanks again! hipirn
