Jared I can see you are having no luck with the pics you need. You didn't say if it was a SB or BB. I will try to post some pics of my 350 alternator tomorrow.

Re: 67 camaro v8 alternator pic

On a 10DN (ext reg'd), two-wire connector is at noon.
Very easy to reclock, remove the four long screws, and turn just rear section.
If by chance the rear section comes off, use a paper clip through the hole to hold the brushes in place for assembly, install the screws, and PULL OUT the paper clip.

Re: 67 camaro v8 alternator pic

These are the pics I promised yesterday. When I had my alternator rebuilt I didn't give him any clocking info. I got it home and found I couldn't install it because it hit the valve covers with the fan belt I was using. When I took it in to rebuild I didn't know it was possible to put it back together 90 degrees off. When I took it back he was good enough to turn it with no charge.
The wiring harness that goes forward should be inside the fender on top of the inter-fender. I don't know if you can make it out but the alternator wiring come out from under the fender were the headlight relays are located.
Hope the pics help.

Roger

Great pics !!!! That motor looks great!!! I'm ganna run factory manifolds too! Looks like the alt can only go one way on the clock position ??? or it will hit the valve cover. would a 10 or 12si work on factory manifolds just as this set up??? Oh yeah how many miles are on the motor ?? looks brand new .

The motor has handle any miles. I built it as a show car so I only drive to shows and there has only been couple of those. I don't understand what the 10 or 12si you are asking about. The factory left manifold has the alternator bracket mount cast on the front of it.
Good luck on your project.

Re: 67 camaro v8 alternator pic

I meant the back side of your alt kinda has a notch to clear the valve cover, just wondering if the other 1973 and up alts 10 and 12si have the same cut out on the back side for clearance

Re: 67 camaro v8 alternator pic

Jared, as Everett noted above the factory alts came with the 2-wire plug at 12 o'clock. You should be able to run a 10 or 12si but you may have to use a slightly longer belt.

Larry I drove my Camaro off the lot in 67 and I can assure you, Everett and Jared the pics in my post above is the way the stock alternator was set up on a SS 350. I have worked very hard to restore my Camaro to its original appearance.

Re: 67 camaro v8 alternator pic

FYI - The "clock" position refers to where the 2 wire plug connector is when looking at the alternator from the back. Roger's is clocked at 3 o'clock. (not sure if AM or PM)

And as said above, it's a very simple matter to change it.

Roger - looks very nice! I think I see some lint on your control arm flap. You might want to care of that.
