how to access dash speaker

i have a 67, that i want to change out the dash speakers in. i've searched but couldn't find any clues.
what's the easiest procedure to get to the dash speakers?

Welcome to TC. I've got a 69 so I do not have any experience myself. I am sure someone here with a 67 will help you. In the meantime I did find this on the web.

Do you have A/C? If not, remove the ash tray, remove the radio knobs and shaft nuts, remove the front trim panel, remove the four screws that secure the ventilation controls and let them drop down in the dash. You should then have enough room to access the bracket screw that holds the speaker in place. If you have A/C, do all the above, then remove the screws holding the vent assembly in place, and then struggle like hell to get the vent housing out of the dash. Once it is out, apply band aids to your knuckles and then remove the speaker...

awesome thanks! i was about to take the dash pad and everything off. i do have a/c so i'm getting ready to bust my already busted knuckles.

tape up your fingers with 1/2" white surgical type tape before you start, might save a few scratches...its tight up there and lots of sharp edge... ask me how I know
