Headlight wiring ?

Can any one tell me what my headlight wires are connecting to ? There is a block attached to the radiator support panel where the wire connects to. But it seems strange that a live wire would connect to what appears to be a metal block that is screwed to the body. Is there suppose to be a insulating washer between the terminal and the block coz there dosent seem to be.

Re: Headlight wiring ?

That is a junction block and it is made of some kind of insulating plastic. That red wire goes to you voltage reg. then to the alternator. It charges your battery and should be attached to that stud on the junction block. Your positive battery cable should have a 12 gauge wire that also goes to this junction block.

Re: Headlight wiring ?

The black wire under the red wire should be the ground for the passenger headlight. The red wire is the power wire to your horn relay then into your fuse block.
