For the Record

I would rather re-wire the space shuttle than this 67 RS.

Re: For the Record

Take a deep breath and count to 10. It's Friday, so crack a few and look at it again.

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Re: For the Record

While this post might get you sympathy I doubt that it will get you any help. My advise would be leave the Beer until after the wiring.

Re: For the Record

I know guys I was just venting. I actually took a break and went to fabbing up some seat brackets. There are so many relays and wierd circuits. I will get it, but man. The little things just eat time. For example, in my driver's courtesy light switch, the replacement harness has a bullet terminal but the door switch has 2 blades. I don't know why. Was the switch replaced or is the harness wrong? I have to stop, figure it out and fix one of the 2.

Re: For the Record

LOL funny. The Camaro had state of the art wiring for the RS in 67. The Space Shuttle had state of the art wiring design in 1981. The shuttles had outlived their life expectancy going 30 years in 2011 and in the last few years NASA was forced to trawl eBay for 286 and 386 computer chips to keep the shuttle system on-line. Your 67 headlight relays are easier to find.

Re: For the Record

What? NASA couldn't figure out a patch cable from an IPhone to a jack on the dash of the shuttle? Isn't there an automatic landing system app for the IPhone?

Didn't we put 2 guys on the moon in 1969? This should be a no brainer for those guys!!!

According to the "your guess is as good as mine" AIM, '67 only has one wire to the driver's side switch. The '68 has two, which are blade terminals. One is for the buzzer and one is for the courtesy lights. The '67s don't have the buzzer? Anyway, I would say that you bought the wrong door switch...

Put your car up on jackstands and then remove the old undercoating. Wanna trade?
