Another Post From The LED Guy

I got my dual under hood LEDS done. Two 1156 45 LED tower bulbs. I saw Fred Ficarra's pic. a while back, and after I mounted one and saw it, then I knew why he used two. One just isn't enough light IMO.
Any way I used one of the factory holes in the core support that was for AC condenser I think to mount a toggle switch so that I can shut them off when the hood is up in daylight if I want to. I think it really worked out great.

I got my trunk light harness today so I'm going to get that set up,then I guess I'm done with lighting.

Re: Another Post From The LED Guy

Hey, thanks a lot guys. I just got done doing my trunk light and I really like it. It was nice and easy, just plug and play. The worst part was getting my big old 49 year old body in and out of the trunk ARRRRGH! Anyway I have some info. for anybody wanting to do an LED trunk light. Don't use a 360 degree tower bulb there because when you lift the trunk lid it will fry your eyeballs!! Ask me how I know. I found out the little 9 LED 1156 100 degree bulb used for the license plate does just as well, you want it to shine down, not in your face. Plus they are quite a bit cheaper too.

Interesting on the trunk light... There is only one way for the light to come out of that pocket it mounts in. So, 100 degrees or 360 degrees, it will still shine out in the same direction.?.? I suppose if the light beam out of the LED bulb was conical out the top of the bulb, it would be different.?.?
