Wiper Pump

I have never use my windshield washers on my car. Of course there has not been a fluid container or sprayers since I bought the car. I recently bought hoses and a fluid container from classic industries. I got everything hooked up and pushed the wipers in to activate the pump and it just clicked and no water came out. The hose set from classic has one larger diameter hose and one smaller diameter hose. The larger hose I ran from the container to the center connector on the washer pump. The smaller diameter hose I cut in two and ran from the other two connector's on the pump to the sprayers that I just installed. I used the leftover smaller diameter hose also in the container, along with the washer fluid screen. I got everything hooked up and tested it and everytime I pushed the knob in I heard the motor/pump click, but nothing came out. Did I install this right? Am I supposed to use something else inside the container other than part of the hose pump the water out of the container? Do I need to get one of the wiper pump repair kits? Why does it click? I can hear it click or activate every time I push the knob in but nothing comes out. I also sucked the end of both sprayers to make sure that there was nothing clogging the hoses and their not clogged.
