radio wont work after installing new battery

I couldn't get that support bar off that runs over the battery (didn't have my tools) so I sorta pulled out the old one and installed the new one by bumping the wires pretty hard. now my radio wont work. my question is- what are the chances now my wipers or even lights wont work now. I didn't try them at the time. just wondering exactly how much damage I may have done. thanks. (all these years and this is my first post in electrical, I think)

Re: radio wont work after installing new battery

If you sparked a short then you might have toasted the fusible link by the junction on the pass fender. You would more then likely have no power to anything if this is true. Easy to replace - find fusible link at any decent auto parts store. Just match the right "protection" level with what you cooked when you buy.
