Use Firebird headlight module with Retro-Electro motors?

Has anyone ever used the RS headlight door motors that Retro-Electro sells and control them with a OEM Pontiac Firebird headlight module? I know that Retro-Electro sells their own controllers but cannot afford the $285 for them. I can get a Firebird module on Ebay for $50.

That will not work. I dont believe the firebird module would see enough trigger current draw
