1969 Camaro FUEL gauge problems

Hey guys.
So I have been trying to figure out this FUEL gauge.
We are changing our fuel gauge from the dash to the seated 4 gauges in the console. All the other gauges work ( oil, battery, and temp.)

Anways we changed out the wiring with the wiring kit and it keeps pegging all the way PAST full.
We think we have a good ground, but not sure what the heck it is.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks
Jake

Ground the point on the gauge that the tank sender connects to. Does it go to empty? If not, the gauge isn't working correctly. Are you sure you have the right wires on the right terminals?

Follow the troubleshooter link:

But also are you using original style reproductions made by Classic HQ? if so you must use the resistor on the rear of the gauge. If you are using OER reproduction the resistor is built in and needs no external resistor.
