Wire identification help needed

Running a new secret audio system in my 69. I pulled the rear seat out to make the install easier and found this wire coiled up under the seat with the end just entering the trunk area. its a long wire and appears it should be going to the rear of the car. Wire is brown and has a weird threaded fitting on it. What is it and where does it go? I looked at my AIm but I couldnt find what I was looking for.

Re: Wire identification help needed

hmm, reminds me of the courtesy light switch in the door jamb, but have no idea what it's doing under the rear seat.

Re: Wire identification help needed

It has a threaded body for adjustment at the final install location.
I looked in '69 AIM, U25, and did not find a switch for the Luggage Compartment.
I was going to suggest an aftermarket alarm switch, but, too OEM factory looking for aftermarket.

Does the brown wire go into the main harness as the rest of the wires?
