67 RS oil gauge

Not quite an electrical issue so I hope this is the right forum. My oil gauge line for the console gauge appears to have air in it. I can see light and dark areas in the line under the dash. The pressure reading changes from almost nothing to about a third after starting and moves to just under half with some RPMs so the gauge seems to work. Do I need to bleed the line? Is the air indicating there is a leak? How hard is it to replace the line and does the gauge need some kind of calibrating after that?

Re: 67 RS oil gauge

Like Steiner stated normal . You can bleed the line, but it will be back the way it is now. If it is not leaking it is fine.

Re: 67 RS oil gauge

Thanks. I wasn't looking forward to dismantling the gauges or replacing the line if I didn't have to.
