Factory tach W/ new tach internals??

Has anyone put new tach internals into a factory type tach? I can not get my factory type tach to work with my MSD box (yes I have the correct filter).
I really want to keep my factory type gauges & my MSD system!! But, I have to have a correctly working tach too. Right now the tach registers more RPMs than the engine is turning and increases disproportionately...
At this point the only solution is new tach internals in my old tach...
So, who has tried it and did it work?

Thanks,
Kip

Gentry and his staff at the above were very responsive and very fairly priced. I only have HEI, but the redone tach works perfectly.

Re: Factory tach W/ new tach internals??

North Hollywood (http://www.nhspeedometer.com/) did my tic toc. And Auto instruments did my console gauges. Both had great communications and service and would use again.

Tach and clock use the stock harness, no new wires.

Good Luck.
