Difference Between 67 and 68 Ignition Switches

Hey guys, I have American Auto Wire classic update wiring kit for 67 Camaro and I don't like that the ignition switch they send with the kit doesn't operate like the factory one. I was told that the reason they send an ignition switch in the kit is because the factory switch won't send power to the coil when cranking. I was wondering what the difference is between 67 and 68 ignition switches. Are 68 ignition switches supposed to power the ignition in both run and start? Does the 68 switch look and operate the same as a 67 switch?
