67 Camaro AAW Classic Update Ignition switch

Hey guys, I was wondering what you guys did when it came time to install the ignition switch? Here is what I'm after. I would like to retain the way the original switch key is positioned and was wondering if you used the switch in the kit or somehow used the original ignition switch? I'm used a MSD distributor if that matters any(no points).

Thanks,

Re: 67 Camaro AAW Classic Update Ignition switch

I re-used my original ignition switch when I did my classic update on my 67. I also have hei and didn't run into any issues. It's sorta a pain in the behind to get the wiring connector plug angled just right to install with the location of the switch.

Thanks J.R. There must be two different ignition switches for a 67 camaro. When I talked to AAW they said that their switch supplies power to the coil without running a separate wire from the starter to the coil and using a diode. Do you remember if you had to run a separate wire from the starter to the coil?

Thanks,
