Fuel Sending Unit

Hi, was wondering if anyone could help here. I have a fuel sending unit in a 69 Camaro that is only reading to about 5/8 of a tank. I bought a new sending unit, and it is doing the exact same thing! The place I bought it from assured me that it would match up with the Ohm reading that corresponds with the original gas gauge itself, 0-90 Ohms. Any thoughts on where to go from here? Thanks, Chris.

Re: Fuel Sending Unit

The "gas gauge failure" thread that is stickied to the top of this forum is full of awesome information.

FYI...unless it's a GM sender...it will be 0-180 Ohm. I just found this out myself after 20 years.
