Factory AM/FM radio gives no volume

I just started driving my 69 after it mostly sat for the past two years. Yesterday I had it out and the original AM/FM radio was working fine. Not holding a channel all that well, but I could get some stations and it had decent volume level. At one point I turned the volume down almost all the way during a commercial. Today when I drove the car, I am getting almost no volume. You can just barely hear sound - almost sounds like it is coming from the unit itself instead of the dash mounted speaker. I can turn the volume all the way up and you can barely hear it. I checked all the connections and nothing is loose.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Sounds like the pot needs cleaning. You can just try going back and forth from no to high volume and see if it catches. If not you can pull it out and spray the pot with silicone which will get you somewhere for sometime but the radio sounds like it needs some service since it wasn't holding stations int he first place. Do a search as there have been several threads on refurbishing radios recently.
