1967 Dash Harness

Where does this plug into the body? It looks like it would be somewhere close to the cluster, but I don't see a hole. Thanks for the help!

We will need a better picture of maybe a connector.

Re: 1967 Dash Harness

I agree you need to take a picture of the area you are working in. Also take a picture of the harness that is being installed. It looks like you are working on the under the dash harness but not sure. If it is a front light harness or a engine harness say so not into guessing games.

Re: 1967 Dash Harness

Sorry for the lack of information. I'm working on the under dash harness (includes the fuse box). My question is about a spear looking plug that is taped to the harness. It serves no electrical purpose. It looks like it would plug in somewhere to support the wiring itself. I'll post some better photos. Thanks guys for the help. I started on this car in 2002 and it is hard to believe it is coming together.

Re: 1967 Dash Harness

Yes it is a common way of securing the harness to the frame of the dash. It inserts to a drilled hole in the supports.

Re: 1967 Dash Harness

That might be the retainer that plugs into the firewall above the steering column. Look for the hole.
