High/Low Beam Issue

First time poster here. I have a '68. With the dimmer switch on, I have low and high beams. With the switch off, I have only high beams. Marker lights don't come on at all.

It's a new dimmer switch and new bulbs all around. All ground wires are accounted for, and I made sure there's a good ground w/the dimmer switch.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what the problem is.

Any suggestions?

Thanks all.

Make sure the #16 light green wire at the dimmer switch (lower connector) which runs to the headlights "high beam" is connected with a #20 LG wire which runs to the "high beam" indicator bulb. The power is fed to the dimmer (center connector) via #14 light blue wire from the headlight switch. The #16 tan wire on the dimmer (top connector) feeds the "low beams". The only thing unique to the side markers and the headlights is the "light switch". The #20 brown wire connected from the head light switch to the markers is completely independent of the headlight wiring, except, they share a #20 black common ground wire at the front. Are you certain the wiring is correct?

Re: High/Low Beam Issue

Welcome Drew. Don't forget to hit the Welcome Wagon and say hello, post some details on your 68, maybe even wow us with photos.

Was it all working before you replaced the bulbs and the dimmer switch?
