Directional dash bulb out?

What's the easiest fix?

The left side works but the right side is out.

The flashers work outside the vehicle, just the dash is out.

Cab I change a bulb without pulling the whole dash apart?

Wink Re: Directional dash bulb out?

You just lay upside-down under dash and reach up behind to remove bulb holder.
Install new bulb in holder and reverse to install.
Be sure that you get it squared to hole or you can damage the circuit board.

Re: Directional dash bulb out?

You can get to it without pulling the dash out but unless you've done it before I'd pull the dash.

You remove the past cover under the steering column where it meets the dash. 4 screws there.

The remove 2 of the 3 nuts holding the column. Loosen the third so it barely stays on.

Now remove the screws holding the Guage carrier. There's 4 along the bottom and 3 up top.

Reach up behind and unscrew the speedometer cable.

Now with the column sagging you can pull out the whole carrier. You'll need to remove the plug that powers everything. The clips are on the ends and need to be pinched to remove it

While you're in there I'd buy some LED bulbs for the back lighting. Makes a HUGE difference at nigh5!

Re: Directional dash bulb out?

is the 69 different than the 68? as my 69 has a 'tray' of lights that just lay in a slot. You can reach up under the dash and pull out the tray and change which ones you need and replace. super easy.

Re: Directional dash bulb out?

Yes 69 its as easy as removing the four screws to the bezel, pull off the bezel, then pull the bulb, pop the new one in, put the bezel on and reinsert the screws. No contortion required.
