Is this what you're looking for? No pros or cons here...just a matter of preference over stock!

Re: gauges question?

I like my A.M. LED. I replaced my SW mechanical temp gauge due to a broken capillery tube.

Re: gauges question?

I never used any of the UltraLite line, but I have used Sport Comp gauges for a number of years. I have been very happy with the Autometer Sport Comp mechanical gauge line.

Since I don't drive much at night I chose a black faced gauge which is easier to read under natural light. I also chose an unusual means of mounting the gauges putting the most critical gauges (Oil Pressure, Water Temp, and Voltage) all on top of the dash in cups. The other gauges I used (Transmission oil temperature, Nitrous Pressure, Vacuum, and Fuel Pressure,) I mounted under the dash. I also had an electric 140 mph speedometer since I had a 4L80e transmission and a five inch eight grand tachometer mounted in the dash.

I can not find the pictures which I have posted before because they have disappeared from my computer thanks to a restore I had to perform without having the ability to first back it up. I have the gauges now but not the car as I had it crushed when I could no longer work on my car due to poor health (before anyone gets excited I had my 582, 4l80 and Danas 60 rear with 4.56 gears in an 85 Impala 4dr sedan street sleeper not a first gen Camaro). No Camaros were hurt in any of my latest street rods (in fact I have three third gens in the back yard still; including a fully caged racer looking for a big block). Maybe after my next operation (#23 to give me an artificial hip so I can walk again).

Pros: Accuracy and appearance.

Cons: ........ *crickets*

I'll have to find the pics of the 2 3/8" gauges.

I like to use mechanical gauges whenever possible.
