Kill switch with flashing Led

I would like to install a kill switch and add a flashing led so would be thieves will think that it is a more sophisticated system than it really is.

I saw a double pole double throw toggle switch, will this serve my purpose? With coil cut off on one pole and led on the other.

When switched in up position car will start.
When switched to middle position car will not start led is off.
When switched to lower position car will not start and led will flash.

Will this double poll double throw switch serve this purpose?

Re: Kill switch with flashing Led

I will say if you have an electric fuel pump and a hidden micro toggle switch to a relay...it works nice
I couldn't tell you how many times I seen a repo on a tow truck with alarm sounding and lights flashing going down I 95 in the wee hours

You could also get a red flashing LED from radioshack to give the appearance of an alarm too

Re: Kill switch with flashing Led

Here's a way to add an LED that works with the key and is automatic in that when the key is in the off position, the LED flashes and when the key is in the run or accessory position, the LED is off. Man, I drew that out years ago.
