car alarm horn died?

i have a 69 Camaro with a old Excalibur alarm. The remote arms and disarms. And when the alarm is set and doors or other points are triggered you can hear the brain clicking and sending a pulse to the siren. I cut the wires to the siren and the horn is getting power. This was checked with a power tester. But the horn just wont sound. My question is has anyone ever had the siren on there alarm fail? I know anything mechanical can fail. Just never heard of this.

I deal with alarm systems for a living and yes sirens do go bad at times.

Re: car alarm horn died?

ok I just had to get another set of eyes on this problem. I never had a horn go out. Oh well on to pepboys or radio shack.

Thanks
