Door popper wiring

I hooked up door poppers in my 68 and it works great but when I turn the key off then the doors pop open. I have no idea where to go from here. Any ideas where to start the troubleshooting?

Re: Door popper wiring

How are they controlled, through a control unit? I would start by checking that wiring/settings first. I have a friend that put some electric door locks in his second gen camaro. They lock whenever you turn the key off. You have to unlock the door before getting out, no thanks. That would drive me crazy if it was in my car LOL

Re: Door popper wiring

They are controlled like a car alarm. No option to change how they are set.

Re: Door popper wiring

Sounds to me like they might be held closed electrically and when the key is shut off they lose power and open so in the event of battery failure you can get in. I think if you switch the power feed from ignition to battery it might cure your issue.
