1967 dash speaker

Is the same dash speaker used for a ac and non ac cars? I know aftermarket specifies for ac or non ac because I guess they can put a bigger speaker in non ac cars. Im just not sure about the original. I have ac and am looking for one to throw in there. I stupidly threw it out back in the 80,s. I want to put my original am/fm back in and have it working. Im planning on hiding a modern unit somewhere.

These dash speakers made by Kenwood. DAS-90 and DAS-91 look the same to me but you can call to ask the salesperson if there is any difference. http://www.camarocentral.com/1967_19...s_p/das-90.htm http://www.camarocentral.com/1967_19...s_p/das-91.htm

You willl need a 10 ohm speaker for the original radio if you ever plan on using it.

Re: 1967 dash speaker

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I plan on getting an original 10 ohm speaker for it. Im pretty sure I understand why there is a difference in aftermarket speakers too, more room for non ac cars. I need to know if I can pull a used speaker out of any old 67-69 regardless of ac and fit it into my ac equipped 67. Did the factory use the same speaker for both?
