TCC wiring hook up

Hello guys and gals,
I'm looking for some help to hook up my 700r4 TCC connections.
I 'm putting my newly rebuilt 700R4 with a lock up converter in my 67 Ragtop. I need some instruction on the wiring hook up. Harness is a 4 post connector connecting at the Tranny which only has 3 pins/wires that connects.
1 ea purple, 1 green and 1 tan with black stripe. Can any of you folks tell me where each wire should connect? Engine is carburated Not EFI.
Your help will be greatly appreciated,

Re: TCC wiring hook up

It would be best to check with the trans builder, but....

If I had to guess, the trans is wired for lockup in 2nd, 3rd and OD - one wire for each. My 2004R is wired for lockup in 2nd 3rd and OD. OD has its own wire, and 2nd and 3rd share the same wire. I only use the OD lockup, which is the upper left pin on the connector. (top front). No guarantee yours is the same though.

The lockup wire(s) need to be connected to an IGN-on 12V source. The IGN spade on the fuse box is a good spot. You can run the wire through a cruise control brake light switch which will unlock the converter when you step on the brake pedal. It is a direct replacement for your factory brake light switch.

In addition to the c/c switch, I also run mine through a dash mounted toggle so I can turn the lockup off while doing city driving. Lockup in town is a PITA. I'm sure there are more elegant solutions, but the toggle works fine and was inexpensive.
