Fast xfi 2.0

My kit came in today and it looks like I'll be cutting about a 2" hole through the fire wall for the wiring harness. Can anyone tell where the best location for that hole would be and where you mounted your XFI? Thanks

Re: Fast xfi 2.0

Do a search on LS1tech or PT.com. I think the 'best' place is over towards the passengers side just around the top to of the valve cover. Not sure if that is with the heater box being in the car or not.

Re: Fast xfi 2.0

I used the fan hole behind the pass 1/4 since I had aftermarket a/c. I just grometted the plug that came with the AC kit. Worked great and no metal work!

Just curious...
What's the feedback on those EFI kits? ( Like/Dislike, etc. )

Re: Fast xfi 2.0

I'm curiouser. Standing by for feedback.
Here's how I did it with my Retrotek system. Note the round silver ring right next to the distributor cap on the firewall. Got it from Summit. All of the wires and most of the plugs went through that split rubber that's held by the ring. And all of the ECU's are behind or near the glovebox. The system is still wired and ready to go but I'm running a carb for the track. The problem with the TBI was its injector angle. The front injectors that aim to the rear of the primary's hit the back of the throttle bore and spray UP and out of the bores when idling. I don't like that. They soak the air cleaner, and when the air cleaner is off the TBI and running in the shop, they soak the windshield with fuel. Not good. This is also the system/style sold now by Projection. Oh, here's the picture.
