Tail light Bulb Holder / Socket?

Can someone post a pic of one? Or a Link to one for sale. The only ones I can find are for a 77+ car and they fall out of the tail lights! Help if you can, Thanks Bunches, Cory C

If your car is a 67 or 68 here's one from HBC. I think the originals should be dark brown though. I've come to the conclusion that Chevrolet designed these to fall out of the housing.

Also. if youre looking for function over correctness, they sell a generic all metal one that has metal claws that really grip and hang on to the light housing making a solid ground. I used them on a buick that used those same plastic ones as my camaro.

Thats what I got in there now but I just could not imagine this was the actual real right part for this car!

Where do you get the metal one? I noticed there is one on my car from previous owner and they do work very well,i had to replace one a while back and it keeps falling out its plastic doesn't fit the housing very well

I know this is an old thread I just got around to buying one of these you posted the pt306 and the 1157 bulb doesn't fit in this socket however an 1156 does which the knobs on the end of these 2 bulbs are different. I am looking for the correct socket for a 67 rs car any help appreciated. I am also looking for the all metal socket the plastic ones keep falling out.

Re: Tail light Bulb Holder / Socket?

Yes the pt306 is for the single filament 1156 bulb. The pt72 which I linked to in that same post is for double filament 1157 bulbs. If you look at the link it has a close up that shows the 2 contacts in the socket. The pt 58 is similar but does not have the spade terminal for a ground wire.
