69 power window issue

My driver switch works on 3 of the windows and only puts the 4th down not up. The window will work fine with its own switch so I know the motor is ok.

Any ideas? Only thing I can think of is a wire came off or the switch is bad.

Do I need to take the door panel off to remove the PW switch?

Thanks -Ed

Re: 69 power window issue

Yes you have to pop the door panel to get to the switch back.

There are three poles on each switch if I remember right in an original switch and harness set. Jump power from top to middle and bottom to middle and window should operate. If it does then it is the master drivers switch for that window position.

If you have aftermarket window regulators, harness and switches then consult their installation guide.

If it doesn't work the window then the wire lead may be broken in the harness and can be replaced.
