I completely replaced all of my old wiring in my 67 Camaro including the lights, the light switch and light sockets with the exception of the steering column harness. I used the Painless Performance wiring harness for the 67 Camaro. When I was all done everything worked except the hazard lights on the passenger side, the tail lights, the front parking lights and the dash lights. All of the lights that should come on when you pull out the light switch half way don't come on . My head lights, brake lights and turn signals do work. My dash lights such as the turn signals, gen and bright light indicator also work. I tried the lights with the old light switch and I still have the same problem. After a bit of testing and monkeying around the hazards don't work at all. I jumpered a hot wire to the light switch plug on the harness where the tail lights, parking lights and dash lights are and the lights light up. That is why I bought a new switch. What is the odds of the old and new switch having the same problem? Is there a connection between the hazards not working and the parking lights not working? Could the steering column harness have a short? Any suggestions?
Here are some ideas
You should be able to test the switch with an ohm meter to make sure its OK.
Use a test light to determine if you have power in and out of the switch at different positions.
Have you checked the connections at your fuse panel?
Grounds all good?
Good Luck

I found my problems. With the hazard lights I forgot to install the flasher unit. I was used to seeing fuse boxes with one flasher unit. This one has one for the turn signals and another for the hazard lights.
As for the parking lights, Painless performance installed the wires incorrectly on the plug that plugs to the light switch. I would still highly recommend the Painless Performance witing harness for the Camaro's.
It's now time to have a beer.
