Was working on getting all my wiring all in order, but have discovered that the Fusible Wire to my Center Console Battery Amp Gauge was missing and I've decided that instead of using fusible wire, I'm going to splice in a fuse connector, but was wondering what Amp Fuse I should use on the Black/White Stripe wire and the Black Ground wire?

To clarify, I'm trying to replace the 16 Gauge Fusible Link wire at the Horn Relay and the 14 Gauge Fusible Link near the battery. I'd like to use a Fuse connector wire. Am I making sense? I'm sorry because I'm an Electrical idiot.

Bad application for a fuse - a momentary surge current will pop the fuse, and you're dead in the water; that's why they came with fusible links instead of fuses. You can get fusible link wire in any gauge you need at any good auto parts store.

John is right on. A fusable link is slower than a slow blow fuse. You can buy fusable links - most likely through a reputable autoparts store.
