When I got my car back after the motor transplant, 2 things weren't working. 1 was the tach (which works fine now!) and the other is the battery gauge (68 console gauges). No reading at all. The guys at the shop did test the alternator, and it is putting out, but it does not register on the gauge. They never touched the interior of the car, so I don't think its the gauge, it must be the wiring to the alternator itself. How does this thing wire up? Its just the standard alternator for a 68.
If its neccessary, the numbers on the unit are as follows:
1100693
7E23
12VNFG
(as close as I can make out anyway)
As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Steve,

My 1968 Camaro Alternator and External Regulator are wired in the following manner:

Regulator Wires:

1- Blue Wire from Right side of Alternator plug <Wire #2>
2- White/Yellow Wire from Left Side of Alternator plug <Wire #1>
3- White Wire Goes to Battery Splice <Voltage Sensing>
4- Brown Wire Goes into wiring harness and into GEN light

Alternator Wires:

1- White Wire Goes to #2 on Regulator
2- Blue Wire Goes to #1 on Regulator
Red- Goes to Battery
