If anyone has any thoughts opinions or info on this let me know.
I have a '67 Convertible. My plan is to convert all the interior bulb lights to LED's, they last longer and are actaully cheaper for me.

Can I make custom LED bulb sockets out of the standard sockets used for the Instrument cluster?
If it is just a matter of soldering an led into the socket, that would be pretty easy and they'd be way brigher. would I have to modify the printed circuit board (bypass it actually wouldn't mess with it)or something else?

I'm also thinking of copying the small lights that are over the door handles in newer camaros like my girlfriends 2000.

Let me konw.

I want to

Here's a great source for super-bright LED's that are a direct replacement for our lights.

They sell the individual LED's as well... I was just very EXCITED to find this source because they have such fair prices... especially if you have looked at the LED's at AutoZone or PepBoys (act like they are golden).

With these prices there is no way you would save money by making your own.

Well except for the instrument lighting I don't have any of the other original sockets so cost of a bulb plus new socket would run me upwards of $15 each. Was looking at the screw LED's for underdash and arm-rest areas, I think they'll look great. I can't decide on white or amber though. White may be too white and amber too yellow, so I may use one of each at each spot to mix the colors.

Which ones fit the instrument cluster???
