U know the ignition rotating thing, well u kno whow it has the computer checking thing to see if u have the right key well it broke so how much is it going to cost to have all this to be replaced and what do i need to get

you need an ignition switch. comes with the new tumbler and a brass key to cut onto a GM coded key, YOU NEED YOUR ORIG. KEY, dont Toss it!, they will take your code and read it to get the correct key code you need for your computer, and cut the brass key included with the new lock for your computer code.

the code reader for the key is called a VAT sensor, if you have your original key, its 130.00, and 20 bux for a new key, if you DONT have the key, its 2500.00 for a new computer and VAT sensor and matching lock tumbler and key with the correct code.
you can get it from any GM dealer, I just had one on my firebird done, (since I have airbag I took it to them,) and it was 450.00 done.
