Question

I'm trying to install the missing headlight washer system back into a 69 RS.

I've found most of the nec parts including a washer pump wire harness but I can't seem to find an RS pump in any of the catalogs.
Does the washer system tie in to the existing wiper pump, or does it have it's own RS specific washer pump?

Lee69, the RS wipers are part of the regular WS washer pump. The difference is a seleniod on top of the pump. When the washers are engaged, you have to hold the switch a little longer for the seleniod to open and allow the fluid to go to the headlights. The rubber lines have some 'T" fittings that run to the seleniod then to the headlight. There should be some pics in the 69 assembly guide. Kevin

Actually...there are no detailed pictures in the Assembly manual. All it lists is a different part number for the entire Waster/Wiper motor assembly.

Nobody is making reproductions of the RS solenoid...so you'll have to try and find a working origninal...

Mccory:
I had the same results....no pictures in the assembly manual & different part numbers for the entire assembly.
Anyone have a close-up picture of this assembly I can use to supplement the assembly manual? I'll need it "if" I can find the part somewhere.

Several Months ago there was a headlight washer pump/solenoid listed on ebay. I think it sold for around $85 and as I recall there was a good picture of it too. I need one of these devices too, but felt the bidding went too high on that item.
