I just bought a brand new MSD 6AL Ignition box and MSD Blaster 3 coil (from a non-ebay speed shop). This is going to be connected to an HEI Distributor. How much of a performence change can I expect to see when this upgrade is finished.

Unless your old system was in bad shape (old plugs, spotty wires, bad cap/rotor) you won't see much, if any, performance increase.

However, if your old system was shot, then you will probably see/feel a performance increase.

You should see an increase in throttle response and RPM potential, as well as easier starting.

Don nailed most of it right on the head. Starting eaisier, throttle response, more stable performance at a higher RPM and I myself noticed an increase in mileage. Were not talking huge, but 2 miles a gallon or so is better that none !!
