As I understand the U80 (Auxilliary Speaker) option consisted of center dash speaker 1 speaker installed to the right rear deck location and fader control on the radio. My car did have the U80 option with a AM radio. The original rear speaker is now long gone. Was the rear deck speaker (U80 option)the same as the original 4x10 dash speaker? If not what was the original speaker size? Did the rear fader wiring travel all the way back to the rear speaker? Thanks for any replies.

ok so your car was origionally equipped with the rear speaker? if your radio has a fade control, my best guess is that the wiring for the rear speaker is already been ran and is waiting for you to find it.i dont know the dimendions for the rear speaker. are you trying to keep it factory? the eurgodynamics in the older cars suck and i always make my own sound system.

The fader knob with cut wires was found in the console compartment so I do not know were the wires went. An aftermarket radio was installed when I purchased the car. I want to keep it as original as I can.

The fader has a plug on the end of the wires that plug into the radio. I think the rear was a 6x9.
