I am putting console gauges in my 68 coupe, I bought the two "factory fit" wiring harness's from Rick's First Gen, but when I got the point where I was supposed to hook up the main power wire (the orange one in #1) to the fuse pannel BAT. My orange wire has a diffrent end that does not fit into the fuse pannel. Mine has a big off white plastice peice covering it? Any ideas?

The orange wire in the number one position is for the light on the back edge of the console, it gets tied into the courtesy light circuit. Nothing from the gauge cluster gets attached directly to the fuse panel, except the wire for the clock which doesn't run thru the connector in the console.

Those off white connectors are made to plug into extension harnesses that inturn plug into those single male terminals down the center of the fuse panel. They may fit directly into the fuse panel itself, but I've never tried.
