I have a 1 wire alternator and wanted to know if the wire from teh alternator to the (+) post on the battery is the only wire I need. I see a line goign to ground on the diagram and was wonderign if I needed a wire for this or the meta casing touching the engine was what they meant?

Thanks!

Cool

I think you got it, when you install it, it is grounded.the one wire comming goes to the battery pos+side. The alternator is self regulated.

The alternator will be grounded through the mounting bracket. I just installed one - just one wire to the + on the battery. Make sure you use 10 or 8 gauge wire. If you're installing high amp ( 100+ ) then definately go with 8.
