I have a 89 rs and when the passenger door is open the dome light does not come on, can any solve this mystery

Is the switch any good? If it is do you have power to it? If ya dont, you need to start chasin wires.

Usually it's a corroded pin switch in the door jamb.

These switches complete the light circut to ground.
The door jamb get's wet and corrodes the switch. If you unscrew one you might be able to clean the contacts. Or else replace it.
