I was troubleshooting a problem with my front turn signals working intermittently and found that my harness is loose where it attaches to the firewall. Is there a strap or? that is supposed to hold it in place or is it just pushed in?

Any suggestions aside from buying a new harness? (Wiring is all good)

There should be a center hexhead screw (or 2?) that pulls the two halves together. Look close. It should tighten up with a small socket. If it's gone, it probably broke off.
I'm not sure if you can get a replacement screw. Try looking at the aftermarket suppliers web sites.

Hey Jsouth,

I encountered the same problem and it drove me completely nuts, but in the end I found it. If you end up tightening the harness connection and the problem still occurs, try playing around with the flasher unit that's mounted behind the dash. It's mounted to the vertical support bar almost directly behind the cigarette lighter in your dash. Mine was either sticking or it was not grounding properly and it would cause my blinkers to work intermittently. I reached behind one day when my blinkers weren't working and gave it a half a turn in one direction and I've never had it happen again. Good Luck, Paul
