Question

I relocated the battery to the trunk and had no problems however I didn't have any gauges hooked up. (I was redoing the dash and console.) So, no problems means that it starts every time but I didn't see any measurements after the batt move.

I have the console in now and a voltage gauge mounted/hooked in. The voltage seem to measure just a little too high, with some consideration to parallax<sp?>, it looks like it's running at 14.2 - 14.6 volts.

I've read the paper on the theory of General Motors Charging circuits and I'm wondering if my volts are tracking higher because my battery is so far away from "the splice".

Oh electrical gurus, please impart your wisdom upon me. Do I have grounds for concern? (Not a pun, but hey, it works.)

Thanks in advance guys.

Rick.

Those look like good numbers. I run about 14.3 volts into my battery. Remember to check the voltage at the battery and make sure it's not too low.

Thanks John.

For some reason, I was thinking I should be in the 13s.
